"In those houses of your land,
in those dusty roads,
something's whispering and blowing,
something's going back to your loved people,
something's waking up and singing
... because fire never dies."
(Pablo Neruda: "Tina Modotti is dead")

Born in 1982, the group La Sedon Salvadie (The
Wild Spoon) first played traditional music of the region
Friuli, in North-eastern part of Italy (near Austrian
and Slovenian borders), a region where different ethnic
minorities live together from centuries.
Friulians, Slovenes, Old Germans of Zhare-Sauris, German
Speaking of Plodn-Sappada, Timeau and Canal del Ferro,
Venetians of the flat: they all live and work together
from the time of the Patriarcs od Aquileia, lords of
one of the oldest democratic States of Europe (they had
a Parliament older then teh english one).
Different languages and music flow into La Sedon
Saladie own music. You could hear ancient instruments
like bag-pipes and violins dance together with guitars,
percussion and diatonic accordions.
A concert of La Sedon Salvadie is a
wonderful travel thorugh the Centuries, but you can look
and listen at it with modern eyes and ears of today.
